A Big UFO!

Suzette mentioned that we share our
UFOz.....and I do have a few! UFOz are usually created when I reach a point where I have hit a place where I don't feel comfortable with the way things are going. So, I put it aside and go on to something else. Unfortunately, my biggest and most frustrating one is the Baltimore Tribute quilt that I've been working on for over 10 years. It has been nearly a year since I worked on it last but it will get done - someday! The center block needs to be finished as well as one other block. Then the remainder of the blocks need some small embroidery touches or details added. This is the center block complete with a few pieces of fabric that are being "audtioned".

This second block is one that has given me trouble for a long, long time. The hummingbird just doesn't look right when I put it on - and I've put several on! ARGH!! This one may work; I certainly hope so - but it looks like it needs to be a bit brighter ........ what do you all think?

Wow, those blocks are gorgeous. I just love the colors you used. It will make a sweet quilt! I tend to hand applique when I watch a movie, which I have not had much time to do. Since I joined the wonderful stashbuster group, I have been cleaning out my sewing closets and UFOs keep attacking me! I think I need to stop cleaning, my list is getting way unmanageable. lol
